Sarah Patterson, M.Ed, Resident in Counseling

Sarah Patterson (she/her) is a Resident in Counseling who is pursuing formal training in Play Therapy. While earning her M.Ed in Counselor Education (VCU 2023), Sarah spent her clinical hours working with young children and their families in a variety of settings. She utilizes play-based, experiential therapeutic techniques to provide a developmentally appropriate counseling experience for children 3 years and up. 

Sarah passionately provides an affirming, safe space for all clients and families to process, heal and grow; particularly neurodivergent (Autism, ADHD) children and their caregivers. She strives to support the entire family to work and grow together. She can't wait to meet you!

Blocks! Blocks can be used to create or represent anything that you want/need them to.

What is something you like to do outside of work? 

Search for unique finds at my local thrift and antique stores, have game nights with friends and play tug o war with my rescue dog, Duncan.
