Lawson Craighill, MA, Resident in Counseling

Lawson is a Resident in Counseling and Supervisee in Play Therapy. She graduated from Adams State University with a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in the spring of 2021. Prior to joining the Healing Sounds Team, Lawson spent time providing counseling services in a crisis stabilization unit, therapeutic day treatment setting, and to children and teen survivors of domestic and sexual violence. Lawson has experience providing counseling services to people with a variety of mental health challenges, and believes in tailoring her approach around each person’s unique life experience. Lawson enjoys incorporating the healing power of play into her practice, and believes that play is a natural medium through which people of any age can express themselves, process emotions, and make sense of their experiences. Lawson’s practice is grounded in compassion, creativity, and a genuine commitment to helping clients navigate their emotional landscapes in order to find healing and happiness.

Lawson works with clients 5 through adult, and enjoys supporting individuals through personal relationships, difficult life transitions, depression and anxiety, identity exploration, and healing from trauma.

My collection of miniatures! When coupled with your imagination the possibilities are endless!

Traveling and exploring new places, reading anything and everything, and spending time with my husband and our dog
