Jillian is an art therapist and resident in counseling. She graduated from Eastern Virginia Medical School with a master’s in art therapy and Counseling in the spring of 2023. Jillian has experience providing art therapy and counseling treatment services to individuals with various mental health challenges and customizes treatment to fit each client’s unique needs. Prior to joining the Healing Sounds team, Jillian spent time providing art therapy and counseling services to adults within the hospital setting, adolescents in behavioral health facilities, and children in schools. She enjoys incorporating mindfulness, movement, and eco-art therapy techniques within her sessions, and utilizes play therapy techniques in her work with children. Through a Gestalt, person-centered, and holistic therapy lens Jillian believes everyone has the potential to heal and empowers her clients to take control of their healing journey.

Jillian works with clients ages 6 and up, coping with a variety of mental health challenges. She is passionate about working with individuals to manage life stressors, learning differences, battling substance abuse, anxiety, depression, or healing from trauma.

I believe everyone has the ability to heal and grow. I bring my authentic self and compassion into sessions and want my clients to feel as comfortable as possible to be their true and creative selves.
