Christina Koenig, MT-BC

Pronouns: she/her

Christina received her music therapy degree from Shenandoah University, then completed her internship at Milton S. Hershey Penn State Medical Center in Hershey, PA. After becoming a board-certified music therapist, Christina moved to Illinois and began working with children in schools, children with complex medical needs, people in hospice care, and older adults in memory care units. After a few years, she moved back to the east coast and has been working in hospice care, post-stroke rehabilitation, and with autistic children. Along with being a music therapist, Christina is also a doula and teaches music lessons! She believes music therapy is a great tool for meeting people where they are and providing individualized support as they work toward their goals. Outside of work, Christina loves to go backpacking, read, and spend time with her two cats.
