Adaptive music lessons are for individuals who need a non-traditional method for learning. Individuals with ASD, DD or other neurological deficits may be able to learn an instrument with the help of a music therapist. Sheet music is adapted for the student, as well as the instrument. The music therapist is equipped with additional training to help a person overcome learning obstacles.

Instrument not provided. All adaptive sheet music is provided. Payment is due at the time of service. You have the option to pay online the day of, or hand the payment directly to the music therapist at the time of service.

Individual Music Therapy

One on one music therapy sessions are 30, 45 or 60 minute sessions with the music therapist to address specific goals and objectives. This service is tailored to the needs of the individual and extensive documentation is tracked throughout treatment. This service is appropriate for any age and population.

Adaptive Music Lesson

Adaptive lessons are for individuals who may not have success using traditional teaching methods. By using the unique skill set of a music therapist, individuals with disabilities may learn an instrument. Some teaching methods include color coding, large note music, adaptive mallets, and assisted technology. Instruments offered at this time are piano, guitar, ukulele, and violin. Instrument not included.
